Love Ko Kayo: McDonald’s gifts teachers and frontliners with heartwarming tribute

This is gratitude in one of its purest forms.

Such a scenario was showcased recently by McDonald’s Philippines when it converted party areas in select McDo stores nationwide into McClassrooms in celebration of National Teachers’ Month this October. These spaces provided teachers with safe, work-friendly, learning and teaching areas right in time for the opening of classes for the school year 2020-2021.

This is the brand’s way of thanking teachers for their invaluable contributions to the lives of young Filipinos especially during this time of the pandemic. As a good neighbor to the communities, McDonald’s continuously moves to make a difference in the lives of Filipinos.

The initiative has been extended to more stores and will run until October 23.

McDonald’s tips hat to real-life frontliner heroes

On its anniversary month, McDonald’s Philippines celebrates and thanks its frontliners who have been the heart of the company for almost four decades.

“Thank you for your service and for your malasakit to those who need it the most in these trying times,” McDonald’s Philippines wrote in its Facebook post.

Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI) Chairman Dr. Andrew L. Tan shared McDonald’s meals to frontliners, volunteers and vulnerable communities during this time of the pandemic through his personal donation to McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen.

Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC) or McDonald’s Philippines is a strategic partnership between Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI) and the George Yang Group. The group holds the exclusive franchise to operate the McDonald’s brand in the Philippines.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), McDonald’s charity of choice, activated these Kindness Kitchens at the onset of the crisis to prepare and serve meals to those in need.

To date, it has served 300,000 meals to various hospitals, quarantine centers, volunteer groups and barangays in need across the country with the generosity of McDonald’s partners, employees and individual donors.
