The COVID-19 pandemic has indeed brought out the best in people. In the case of Alliance Global hotels, it’s the good things and actions that have been highlighted further.
Sheraton Hotels donated 600 food packs, 200 bottles of shampoo, 200 bottles of soap, 200 dental kits, and 100 shower caps to several hospitals including Asian Hospital in Alabang, Medical Center and St. Luke’s Global City Hospitals in Taguig City, and San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pasay City.
Megaworld’s homegrown hotel brands also shared care at this time when unity is needed the most.
In fact, each Megaworld hotel has put its hotel resources to good use, donating everything from health and hygiene products to food and meals to those who really needed them.
Belmont Hotel Manila and Savoy Hotel Manila donated 500 pieces of dental kits, 500 pieces of plastic shower caps, 500 pieces of cream soap, 500 (30 ml) bottles of shampoo and 500 (30 ml) bottles of conditioner to St. Luke’s Hospital and The Medical City. These hotels also donated 750 shower caps, in support of the #BaryaNiJuan project through a DiscoverMNL partnership, to East Avenue Medical Center, Ospital ng Makati, VRP Medical Center, Quirino Memorial, NCOF Mental Health, Pasig Children’s Hospital and Pasig General Hospital.
Hotel Lucky Chinatown, for its part, donated 150 packs of Lays chips and 300 pieces of soap bars to San Lazaro Hospital.
The Rizal Medical Center received 50 sets of snacks for their medical frontliners, 90 pieces of dental kits, 100 pieces of hand soap and 700 pieces of shower caps from Eastwood Richmonde Hotel.
Meanwhile, the University of Santo Tomas Section of Pulmonary Medicine received 500 pieces of shower caps for the use of their medical frontliners from Richmonde Hotel Ortigas. The hotel also gave 500 pieces of dental kits to the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital and 500 pieces of shower caps to St. Camillus Medical Center.
Twin Lakes Hotel gave face masks, packed meals and water bottles to Laurel’s Barangay and Municipal Hall for the use of the PNP and BFP.
In the Visayas, Savoy Hotel Mactan donated 58 shower caps and 150 toothpaste tubes to Mactan Doctors Hospital as well as Arc Hosiptal, and 100 tissue rolls to Red Cross. Savoy Hotel Boracay gave 1,500 dental kits to Philippine Red Cross Boracay – Malay Chapter. Belmont Hotel Boracay gave 1,500 shower caps to the same organization.
Richmonde Hotel Iloilo, in the meantime, donated 1,500 pieces of shower caps for medical frontliners, as well as bed sheets and towels for health care workers temporarily staying at the Iloilo City Community College, all through the Iloilo City Government via the Office of Mayor Jerry Treñas. The hotel also gave 5,000 shower caps to the Western Visayas Medical Center and chlorine for one fire truck to Iloilo’s Federation Fire for the disinfection of the city’s streets.
